Jermain Davis was raised on the southside of Richmond, Virginia, and comes from a proud military family, which has shaped his discipline and relentless work ethic. He has dedicated his entire adult life to the legal system by building a career defined by high-stakes advocacy, preparation, and proven results.
Jermain has represented clients on all sides of the courtroom. He has guided families through complex divorces and custody disputes, defended individuals facing criminal charges, protected victims of crime, prosecuted offenders at both the state and federal level, and helped clients obtain a fresh start through bankruptcy. This wide range of experience gives him a unique advantage because he understands how cases are built, challenged, and ultimately won.
His experience includes handling serious and complex matters such as murder, kidnapping, arson, sexual assault, human trafficking, and multi-state organized crime. Jermain graduated on the Dean’s List from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. During law school, he served as a student public defender at the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s Office in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the Defender Association of Philadelphia. He also gained early, hands-on experience working exclusively on family law matters with Legal Services of South Central Michigan.
After law school, Jermain worked at the United States Attorney’s Office in Baltimore, Maryland, which included working with grand juries and supporting multiple federal trials and investigations involving public corruption, wire fraud, RICO offenses, money laundering, murder, international fraud schemes, gun and drug trafficking, and other complex federal crimes. He played a vital role in preparing discovery, organizing exhibits, and ensuring cases were trial-ready. Every federal trial he worked on resulted in a successful outcome for the government. He was also routinely involved in complex, multi-agency federal investigations that utilized advanced programs involving artificial intelligence. He worked closely with leading law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Secret Service, ATF, Homeland Security, U.S. Marshals, DEA, and other federal and local partners. This experience significantly equipped him with high-level analytical skills that translate into building strong cases and delivering successful results while performing under pressure.
Since arriving in Oregon, Jermain has focused his practice on family law and Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy matters. He takes a comprehensive, hands-on approach to every case, ensuring that every detail is accounted for, whether it involves protecting parental rights or fully accounting for and dividing complex marital assets. His clients benefit from a level of preparation, strategy, and proactive advocacy that reflects his background in high-level litigation and attention to detail.
Jermain approaches every case with precision, preparation, and a relentless commitment to achieving the best possible outcome. He is known for handling complex, high-stakes matters with strategy, focus, and control, giving his clients confidence that their case is in capable, experienced hands. Outside of his practice, Jermain enjoys reading the Wall Street Journal, attending comedy shows, playing chess, fishing, and attending sporting events.
